The Budget in Household Numbers

When you remove all those nasty zeros it brings it right into perspective, doesn’t it?

The budget in household numbers:

$   2,170,000,000,000 = tax revenue
$   3,820,000,000,000 = federal budget
$   1,650,000,000,000 = new debt/deficit
$ 14,271,000,000,000 = total debt
$          38,500,000,000 = recent budget cut

Now, remove 8 zeros and pretend it’s a household budget:

$   21,700 = annual family income
$   38,200 = money the family spent
$   16,500 = new debt on the credit card
$ 142,710 = outstanding balance on credit card
$           385 = total budget cuts

Sorta brings the issue “home” doesn’t it?

It?s arduous to seek out knowledgeable individuals on this subject, however you sound like you realize what you?re talking about! Thanks
